Happy Birthday Kendall

Kendall turned the Big 1 on November 27th.  We sang Happy Birthday to her before school, and she was all smiles.  I just can't believe that my baby is 1...tear (smile).  After work and school, we all went to GiGi's cupcakes, so she could enjoy some cake.  She got the "Birthday Surprise" cupcake, which is white cake with pink icing and sprinkles.  She ended up liking Scott's chocolate turtle cupcake the best.  I guess she's a chocolate cake lover.

Kendall's birthday was at Parkway Place church.  It was a Sweet Shoppe theme.  The colors were pink, green, and turquoise.  The sweets at Kendall's Sweet Shoppe included sugar cookies decorated like lollipops, rice krispy treats, chocolate covered marshmallow pops, chocolate covered pretzels, cake pops, jolly ranchers, twizzlers, strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla cupcakes, and chocolate cake.  Whew!!!!!  If you had a sweet tooth, Kendall's Sweet Shoppe was the place to be.  The giftbags included an eraser, silly straw, and small toothbrush to keep your teeth nice and healthy.  Each bag was filled with all the sweets from the sweet shoppe.  The kids table were decorated with lollipops centerpieces that I made from styrofoam circles covered in tissue paper and cellophane paper.  Kendall wore an onesie that had a pink number "1" on it with a lollipop and her name on it.  It was accessorized with pink leggings, a pink and green tutu, and pink converse.  It all turned out great!

Thanksgiving

I know this is late, but oh well...ha!  Thanksgiving was Kendall's last "first" holiday.  The biggest memory was when we all went around the table and told what we were thankful for.  We all ate good, laughed, and even went to the woods and shot guns.  No, Kendall didn't shoot, but as you can see she had on her ear protection.  We also got to see that her big cousin Emoni handles her pretty well.  I think Kendall gained about 2lbs while we were down there because she was eating up everything that we would allow her to eat.  Just a lil hungry something....lol  All in all, we had a blast.  Definitely some good times were had.

Open Season = Meat on the Ground

Yesterday marked the first day of hunting season (modern gun season).  It was Scott's turn to provide the lunch this year, so Kendall and I went to the deer camp to support him.  I must say that it was a good day.  What made it an even more awesome day was that Scott got him an 8-point buck.  Yep, he put meat on the ground.  Me, being the person I am, named him Dusty.  I came up with that name since it was so dusty at the deer camp due to cars passing by fast and kicking up dust.  Scott was one happy hunter.  As of now, Scott has gotten one doe and one buck using his muzzleloader and rifle.  Now, he just has one more mission to get a deer with his bow to seal the deal on the triple trophy for this deer season.  Kendall and I are rooting him on....Go Daddy, Go Daddy!!!!!!!!

Below are pictures from Saturday.

Happy Halloween....Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Today was Kendall’s first Halloween.  She was the Beautiful Bumble Bee….lol  I just loved how she looked in her costume.  Of course with her being so young, it wasn’t about the candy this year for her.  It was more about dressing her up in her costume….lol  Any who, she was a superb bumble bee.  Check out my baby girl styling in her first Halloween costume.

Up Close and Personal

"Check me out!"

"If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands."

11 Months

This collage is of Kendall doing the following:  in her walker, tummy time, playing with Elmo, drinking from her bottle, clapping her hands, in her jumper, sporting her daddy's hunting hat, taking a nap, eating a cracker, playing with her toys on the floor, and sitting and posing for the camera.

When:  October 27th

Weight:  16.5 oz (Her last official weight from the doctor's office)

Length:  26 inches

Food:  Kendall eats everything.  Here are just a few items that Kendall eats now:  cheese toast, biscuits and jelly, peaches, pancakes, chicken salad, sweet peas, carrots, chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese, crackers, mash potatoes, oatmeal, grits, etc.  Her daycare has a cafeteria that she eats from, so she has been introduced to quite a few different foods.  When she drinks breastmilk (4-5oz), she has to have oatmeal cereal in it.  Her taste buds have truly experienced quite a bit in the past month.

Diapers:  Size 2

Clothes:  9 months and size 2 shoes.  She is almost in size 3 shoes

Milestones:  Kendall can officially crawl on her knees (she was doing this centipede move for the longest), she can pull herself up in her crib (we had to officially lower her crib), she can go from the crawl position to sitting up and back to the crawl position, she can clap her hands, roll over, and say da-da

Likes:  Eating, water, crawling, being picked up, playing with daddy's facial hair, mommy's necklace and id badge, family hugs, her paci (we are in the process to transitioning her off of the paci), watching cartoons (Go Diego Go, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Yo Gabba Gabba),  beating on the laptop keyboard, and when we point to her nose

Dislikes:  Riding in her carseat, when mommy and daddy aren't in her sight, getting her clothes changed, having poopie diapers on her, being alone, and waiting on her food to warm up

Kendall's Baby Dedication

October 21, 2012 marks the day that Kendall Grace was dedicated back to God at church. Pastor Pointer prayed over her life, our parenting and guidance of Kendall's life, and against anything external that could cause any harm to her. Kendall did very well during the dedication. Mainly because she was sleep...lol It was funny because she was awake the entire church service. As soon as it was time for us to go before the church, she zonks out. That's my Kendall! We were all surrounded by family and friends, so it was a good day. Here are some pictures from the dedication:

Photo Opps

I had been wanting to take some pictures of Kendall with this picnic basket as a prop.  Believe it or not, these pictures were actually taken in our front yard.  I just love the one of Kendall cutting those eyes.  Cutie Pie!

These pictures were taken at a lake that's right next to where I work.  I just love the scenic view.  It almost looks like a Bob Ross painting to me.  I love the fall look in the background.  You can even see swans in the backgrond of some of the pictures.

Happy Birthday to my Uncles

This is Kendall in her "I Love My Uncle" onesie.  Both of Kendall's uncles had birthdays in October, so Kendall sent them birthday cards with this picture on it.  They both loved it.  In my best Kendall voice, "Happy Birthday Uncle Brant and Uncle Ced.  Love ya!!!!!!!!!
