Sunday Best-The Family Edition

We all decided to color coordinate today for church.  Pink was the primary color with Kendall and I adding green and the men adding blue.  Our bold colors got us noticed at church and attracted a few compliments.  I think the kiddos cute faces mainly attracted the nice comments.  Got to love those cute faces!

Below are some of our blooper attempts at trying to get a good family shot while working with two young children.  The joys of parenthood....lol. The first picture is one that Dylan turned his head just as the camera was about to take the picture.  That's my Dyl Pickle.

Dylan just loves playing with mommy's hair.  Lol

I still don't know how I get my camera to make the pictures run together like the one below, but I just added it to this post for good measure.

Pictures of the Kiddos

These are some random pictures of the kiddos after a bath last week.  I just love these beautiful faces.

Below are pictures from Cousin Kaden's birthday party.

Eleven Months

Date: April 20th

Nicknames: Dyl Dyl, Dyl Man, Big Man, Big Boy, Dylanator, Baby Boy, Chillin' Dylan, Pickle, Pick, Pickle Juice, Pickle Meister, etc

Weight: 21lbs 2.6oz

Height: n/a

Head:  n/a

Diaper Size: Size 3

Clothing: 9-12 months and 12 month clothes.  He can wear some 18 months shirts that run small.  Size 5 shoes

Feedings: 7oz every three hours. The well of frozen breastmilk has officially ran dry.  Dylan was on formula for about a week and a half then we decided to go ahead and try him on cow milk.  He likes cow milk and has been doing well with it.  He is still adjusting to it being cold though, so we warm it so he takes it a little better.  He is also eating food from the cafeteria, so he has gummed down foods such as cheeseburgers, oatmeal, waffles, turkey wraps, and the list goes on and on.  Still no teeth, but his little gums can go to town on any food you put in front of him.  He still loves mash potatoes, and pretty much anything.  We tried him with some spaghetti O's, and he ate them well at first, but officially doesn't like them.  Other than that, he likes all food.

Milestones: Dylan can balance himself without holding on to anyone or anything.  He hasn't taken any steps yet, but he can take steps when holding on to your fingers.  He is working on drinking from a cup.  It's a slow go right now, but he will get it here soon.

Likes: Dylan loves taking baths and being in water.  As soon as he hears the bath water start, he is all over the bath tub trying to climb in face first.  He loves to splash water by kicking his feet and sucking the water out of a wash cloth.  We usually use that as a distraction while we bathe him.  He has also started touching on his man parts when he gets his diaper changed (shaking my head).  I guess he is just now discovering that he has another appendenge down there.  He also likes sleeping on pillows.

Dislikes: Dylan doesn't like loud noises and will cry on site when he hears something too loud.  They basically scares him.  He doesn't like puffs as much as he use to.  He doesn't like getting his diaper changed.  He turns into a wiggle worm.

Dylan's baby dedication

Dylan's baby dedication was October 19, 2014.  He was 4 months (just one day shy of 5 months).  He did very well during service, but Dylan is so mild mannered that we didn't expect anything less.  The first two pictures are of Dylan with mommy and daddy as well with Pastor Pointer and his wife Keya.  Then you will see Dylan's friend, Cayden, also getting dedicated in the following pictures.

Likes:  Kendall likes playing with her toys, watching movies, playing outside, blowing bubbles, practicing riding her bike and scooter, helping mommy cook and wash dishes, helping daddy put water bottles in the refrigerator, jumping on the pillows in mommy and daddy's room with Dylan, fruit snacks, Gigi's chocolate cupcakes, dancing, playing in the bath tub, getting her nails painted, and running and being chased, playing hide and seek, and watching you tube play-doh and music videos.

Dislikes:  Kendall is a very picky eater, so she dislikes more foods than she likes.  She doesn't like any condiments such as ketchup, bbq sauce, etc.  She also doesn't like not being played with, having to come inside from playing, going to bed on time, any type of tag in her clothes (its a must that we cut all her tags out of her clothes), and being around new people for the first time.

Milestones:  Kendall is an amazing little girl.  She can hold a true conversation with you.  She asks a lot of questions because she wants to figure out everything.  She is currently in dance (ballet and tap), and is starting to like it.  She also sleeps all by herself in her own bed at night.  She can sing an infinite number of songs, say her ABCs, count to at least 30, say her prayers (Now I lay me down to sleep....), dress herself, help out with her brother, and the list goes on and on.  She is soooo smart and outgoing.  God blessed us with the perfect daughter!

10 Months

*Dylan's 9 months appointment was delayed due to inclement weather, so it was rescheduled closer to his 10 month appointment.  A lot of the below stats are similar to 9 months because not much has changed (smile).

Date:  March 20th

Nicknames: Dyl Dyl, Dyl Man, Big Man, Big Boy, Dylanator, Baby Boy, Chillin' Dylan, Pickle, Pick, Pickle Juice, Pickle Meister, etc

Weight: 19lbs 10.6oz

Height: 30.4in (in the 90th percentile)-His doctor says he is on the path to be tall and skinny

Head:  18.4cm (in the 80th percentile)

Diaper Size: Size 3

Clothing: 9-12 months and Size 5 shoes

Feedings: 7oz every three hours. Dylan is also taking a rice bottle at night and in the mornings. Dylan is officially eating baby food and two containers at a time. He still likes sweet potatoes(his favorite), carrots, squash, apples, bananas, and all the fruit medlies.  We have given Dylan a lot of different table foods.  He likes bread, green beans, the crunchies that fall off of the fried chicken, potatoes (his fave), and just whatever we can give him in small pieces.  We have also started giving him water and trying to start him on the sippy.  He likes the water, but not the sippy cup so much.  We will just keep working with him.

Milestones: Dylan pulls up and stands up on chairs, tables, people, and just whatever. He takes steps around the table, and even tries to take one hand off the table and walk. He thinks he can do a lot more than what he can do right now. With him looking at his sister every day as well as the other kids in his class, we look for him to walk soon. Oh one more thing.....he doesn't drool all over the place anymore. We use to always keep bibs on him just to keep his clothes from being wet, but now we don't have to. Still no teeth, but we are definitely anticipating them soon

Likes: Baby Food, Gerber Puffs, putting anything in his mouth to chew on, standing up, playing with his big sister, watching Kendall laugh because it makes him laugh, and just being a fun-loving little boy

Dislikes: Getting his diaper changed on the changing table, getting lotion put on him, and being left alone. Dylan has also started crying in the mornings when I drop him off. I've read that around 9 or 10 months, babies go through separation anxiety. Ms. Jessica usually has to hold him and distract them so I can leave. Needless to say, he is very clingy now and just pro mommy a lot of the times. I love it, so I'm not complaining.
